MINNEAPOLIS, April 29, 2020 – Player’s Health is launching a webinar to raise awareness for children in unsafe homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many children seek refuge at schools or sports and extracurricular activities. With closings, cancellations and indefinite postponements, domestic abuse rates are on the rise.

The webinar hosted by Player’s Health will include three panelists from across the United States. Abigail Emerson is the VP of Business Development and Strategy at 8to18 Digital, a developer of professional athletic management software. Dan Mills is the Assistant Director of Training at the U.S. Center for SafeSport, an organization set up in 2017 under the auspices of the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization of 2017. The final panelist is Ashley Davis, the Director of Partnerships at Darkness to Light, a non-profit that empowers adults to prevent child sexual abuse. Davis is also a sexual abuse survivor.

The panel will go live on Thursday, May 7 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) CST and will be moderated by the Director of Risk Management at Player’s Health, Molly McCort. Interested parties may reserve their seats in the Crowdcast webinar by clicking here.
